Pathanamthitta, in the centre of Kerala's Western Ghats, is a district endowed with religious significance, natural beauty, and cultural richness. It's a destination that offers a perfect blend of pilgrimage, adventure, and serenity.

Pathanamthitta is renowned for the Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple, a large pilgrimage centre.

Day 1
Morning:
Arrive at your desired accommodation in Pathanamthitta.
Begin your day by visiting the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, an ancient temple for its architectural splendor and the world-famous Aranmula boat race (during Onam season).
Explore the Aranmula village, well known for its ancient metal mirrors (Aranmula Kannadi).
Afternoon:
Take a visit to the Thriveni Sangamam, where Pamba, Manimala, and Achankovil meet. It's a sacred location, particularly for Sabarimala pilgrims.
If your interests lean more towards Christian sacred sites, one visit that comes highly recommended is the Manjinikkara Dayara, which is an important Syrian Orthodox monastery.
Evening:
Dinner is taken traditionally in Kerala cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
At best, one tries to catch a glimpse of Kathakali being performed, one of the state dances.

Day 2
Morning:
Go to Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls. Get enchanted by the beautiful scenery of the falling waterfalls and the surrounding area.
Sit back and soak in the serene atmosphere for some time.
Afternoon:
Go to the Gavi eco-tourism area. Gavi is an unpolluted forest area famous for its high biodiversity.
Engage in activities like trekking, bird-watching, and boating.
Evening:
Have a campfire (if feasible) and enjoy the tranquility of the forest.
Overnight hotel stay close to the Gavi area, or return to your original hotel.

Day 3

Morning:
You can visit places you wish to see once again, subject to when you depart.
Visit Konni Elephant Reserve, if you have some time left.
Afternoon:
Depart Pathanamthitta.
